- I like that this map had a little bit of everything in it but I wish it had more landmarks and a bigger picture of Playa del Carmen and Cancun. It was useful but the writing was tiny. It got some moisture on it (not soaked) and it ended up getting ruined and sticking to itself to where you had to tear it open once it dried, so I wouldn't say it's water resistant. However, it is the best map I could find and it did the job.
- If you've ever tried to plan a trip through the Yucatan, you know how frustrating it is to navigate the internet and find...chaos! You want to explore the Maya temples, stay somewhere wonderful, swim on the Riviera Maya and navigate Cancun. But the maps you find are spotty and myopic, cutting the region up into small areas that are impossible to connect. Enter Street Smart VanDam - the perfect vehicle for planning your trip! All of a sudden it's all laid out for you, and you can plunge in and get your fill of this region so chock full of attractions. Plus handy small maps for each of the major temple regions. A great map cum guide, a must for the Yucatan traveller!Plus it's light weight and fits into even the smallest pocket book.

- Realized this totally useless in Cancun if you are planning to explore. We looked up free maps online instead.
